As Rapha continues to evolve processes, refine ways of working, and build the product & sustainability strategy, an entry level administrative position has become available within the Production & Sourcing team, to support the Sourcing & Production Leads.
The Production & Sourcing team at Rapha works towards the on-time delivery of stock, to the highest quality, at the right price, in line with business objectives. They are also responsible for developing and maintaining excellent relationships with external suppliers, and achieving key supply chain social and environmental sustainability goals. This is a central function which interacts with all aspects of the business, from customer services and finance to product design and marketing.
The Role
- Support the Production & Sourcing Leads to ensure prices and dates are up to date in Rapha’s ERP system.
- Update PLM with cost breakdowns and fabric/trim prices as required.
- Daily communication with our global supply base, troubleshooting any issues that arise at both a tier 1 and tier 2 level.
- Chase in weekly WIP reports and update Merchandising & Wholesale of any changes.
- Liaise with Merchandising and Wholesale on production lead time and MOQs where possible to avoid additional surcharge.
- Request annual Social and Environmental audits from our Tier 1 supply base for review with the Head of Production & Sourcing and follow up on any corrective actions.
- Assist Production & Sourcing Leads in securing signed documents to ensure supplier compliance with Rapha’s ethical trading policies.
- Run weekly supply chain reports on key metrics, preparing updates for weekly product cross functional meetings.
- Contact suppliers to correct any invoice discrepancies ahead of shipment.
- Raise orders for MPO’s and chase in samples in a timely manner.
- A variety of ad hoc tasks including raising orders for non-stock items and packaging.
- Travel to the Rapha global distribution centre and suppliers as required.
The Candidate
- Ideal for either a recent university graduate or equivalent experience, for a first or second job within the fashion & sportswear industry.
- Detail oriented with strong follow- through.
- Strong analytical skills and numerical dexterity.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to work with sizable amounts of data and learning various types of systems.
- Proactive, dynamic interpersonal style, able to act between different departments in a diplomatic, non-confrontational manner.
- An understanding of, or a desire to learn about the Rapha product range.
- Equally comfortable working autonomously & responding to instructions.
- An interest in active sports and ideally cycling with a willingness to get involved.
