Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled ERP Business Central Developer to join our dynamic ERP team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, and implementing solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central platform. This role requires a strong understanding of business processes, a passion for technology, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative and cross team environment. This role is a temporary position to cover maternity leave within the team.
Responsibilities
Develop, and implement custom solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central platform.
Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop and maintain integrations with other systems (e.g., EPOS, e-commerce platforms).
Customize existing functionalities and create new features within Business Central.
Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code with appropriate logging and alerting mechanisms
Create detailed and accurate documentation suitable for both technical and non-technical readers
Perform unit testing and debugging of developed solutions according to acceptance criteria
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users.
Stay current with the latest updates and best practices related to Business Central development.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and gather requirements both for new requests and issues
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and support.
Assist in the training and knowledge transfer of Business Central functionalities to end-users.
Required Skills / Experience
3+ years of experience in developing with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (formerly known as NAV/Dynamics NAV).
Strong understanding of C/AL or AL development languages.
Experience with web services (REST, SOAP) and integrations.
Knowledge of version control software (e.g., GitHub)
Knowledge of business processes within retail, finance and supply chain
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A proactive and results-oriented approach to work.
Knowledge on Atlassian products (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
Other Skills / Non Essential
Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Microsoft certifications related to Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Experience with SQL Server and database design.
